Academic Leave of Absence for One or More Semesters: Military
Leave
The University recognizes the need to have a policy that addresses
the employment and re-employment rights for employees who elect
to join the armed services, the National Guard, or the military
reserves.
It is the policy of the University to comply with the Uniformed
Services Employment and Reemployment Act of 1994 which grants military
leave for all employees and, in most cases, reinstatement rights
regardless of whether the service is voluntary or involuntary.
