Thank you for your interest in working with the University of Delaware. Located in Newark, Delaware, UD is a state-assisted, privately controlled major research university
with an enrollment of more than 21,000 students and satellite campuses in Wilmington, Dover, Milford, Georgetown, and Lewes. To meet UD's extensive procurement needs,
Procurement Services has been charged with overseeing all transactions in
excess of $5,000.00 for all units and departments across the University.
The goal of Procurement Services is straightforward. We strive to serve our customers in the University community by obtaining quality goods and
services in a timely and cost-efficient manner. We welcome information from suppliers offering high quality and competitive pricing and strongly encourage inquiries
from Small Businesses, Minority-Owned Businesses, and Women-Owned Businesses. (Note: Small Businesses, Minority-Owned Businesses, and Women-Owned Businesses may wish
to consult the Procurement Technical Assistance Center of Delaware for free advice on
doing business with the University as well as with federal agencies and other corporations.)
Suppliers interested in pursuing business with the University of Delaware are invited to submit a letter of introduction to our office. Please include pertinent company
information such as product types and brands, contact info, and a catalog if you have one. It would also be helpful to know which major credit cards you accept. You may send your
information to:

Suppliers are also welcome to visit Procurement Services between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; however, appointments are strongly encouraged.
The buyers in Procurement Services act as liaisons between sales representatives and University personnel; therefore, all sales representatives are asked to contact
Procurement Services before contacting other University offices on campus.
The University asks that suppliers not offer gratuities or gifts to University personnel. Buying decisions are made solely based on best value
basis and will not be influenced by other supplier offerings. In addition, please be aware that all businesses providing services on any of the University's
campuses will be required to meet the University's Insurance Requirements prior to any work being performed.
