Although the University of Delaware is a private institution, it is eligible to purchase goods and services under State contract. State of Delaware contracts are competitively bid and administered by the Division of Support Services in Dover, Delaware. These contracts cover a range of commodities, from computers and office equipment to passenger and utility vehicles.
While the contracts are negotiated and administered by the State, University of Delaware employees still purchase from them using the same policies and procedures they would for any other purchase.
