You can do this by hand using any text editor, or export the xml file using Excel. 1a: To edit by hand, first open gradesheet.xml in any text editor. Each graded event in your course is represented by a single xml tag, which looks like this: exam 1 . Replace the event title (in this case "exam 1") and the points with information from your course. Be sure to enclose the point value of each event in quotes. To remove an event, simply delete the entire tag, starting with . To create a new event, copy and paste an existing tag. Do not edit any of the other tags in the file. 1b. To use Excel, simply open gradesheet.xls and follow the instructions printed at the top of the page. Step 2: Upload 3 files to the web location of your choice. You must upload all three to the same web folder. The required files are grade_calc.html, gradesheet.xml, and grade_calc_xml.swf. DO NOT RENAME THE XML OR SWF FILE. You may rename the html file if you wish. Step 3. Create a link to grade_calc.html to provide students with access to the grade calculator. Step 4.
