2007 Summer Faculty Institute:
Technology Bundle

Participants in the full-week institute program have a choice between a Macintosh or Windows technology bundle for their future teaching endeavors at the University. The technology bundle will be the property of the faculty member's department.

When you apply to participate in the program, please indicate your preference for Macintosh or Windows platform technology.

Tentative bundle specifications are available:

• Macintosh technology bundle
• Windows technology bundle

All faculty accepted into the week-long program will receive a complimentary copy of Richard Mayer's book, Multimedia Learning. Participants are encourage to familiarize themselves with the book prior to Dr. Mayer's session.

Faculty participants will be entitled to priority, on-going support throughout the coming academic year. More details on that arrangement will provided during the faculty insitute.

Exemplary Online Instruction DVD

The Rubric for Online Instruction was developed at California State University, Chico to evaluate the ever-growing need for quality online instruction, in both fully online courses or in traditional classrooms. This 40-minute DVD video introduces the Rubric for Online Instruction and the rubric's six categories and evaluation criteria. [Available upon request.]

 

 

Faculty report that the week-long cohort is one of the most valuable aspects of the program. Peer learning will be encouraged through an online communication channel and continued gatherings over the coming year. More details will follow.
