You will also gain insight into potential problems and challenges so that you can avert them before they happen.

Participants will hear from a panel of UD faculty and students about their recent experiences with multimedia and interactive projects. Other issues addressed during the session will be the new Student Multimedia Design Center in University of Delaware Library and a step-by-step preparation guide for creating effective multimedia and interactive assignments.

All registered participants are invited to stay for lunch after the session to continue discussing how to incorporate multimedia and interactive assignments into their curriculum. Support staff will be on hand to answer any questions.

This session will focus on creating assignments that address student learning outcomes and serve as a catalyst to reflection and portfolio assessment. A select group of faculty and students will be on hand to address their portfolio experiences.

Please bring a rubric, your syllabus, or an assignment. Send questions about portfolios to Kathleen Pusecker or Gabriele Bauer prior to the session. See student and teaching portfolios, teaching portfolio materials (RTF file) Band e-portfolios.

  2. PRESENT announces Wiki and Blog Pilots for Spring

Do you want to increase student engagement in your courses? Blogs and wikis are two powerful, yet easy-to-use tools that can enhance student engagement. PRESENT is piloting these tools for faculty interested in using them in their credit classes this spring.

Studies indicate that using interactive technology increases student engagement when faculty articulate clear learning goals and understand how to use the technology themselves. To help prepare you for a successful experience, PRESENT is offering two new sessions. Register online.
