Two new video tools from PRESENT: Annotation Tool and Virtual Reality Template
Posted January 12, 2007 PRESENT is pleased to annouce two new software tools to help UD faculty and teaching staff exploit opportunities of video coupled with Adobe Flash.
The Annotation Tool can be used to create 'bookmarks' within your video file (once its converted to Adobe Flash video format). Students can jump to any section of your video by clicking on a link. They can also see which topic is currently playing simply by noting the pointer that appears beside the active bookmark. Comments or transcripts can be added to any bookmark location and these will appear beneath the video window.
The Virtual Reality Template tool creates video that the user can rotate in space by dragging his cursor across the video screen. Similar to QuickTime VR, this requires 36 still images of the object or panorama taken at 10° intervals. Source material can be an existing video file or still images.
Find out more about Adobe Flash video and both of these tools at the web page, " Enhancing Flash Video."
