A Model of Student-Faculty Interaction

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a format that can be used to distribute information. Inividuals subscribe to an RSS feed, which can be read in a wide variety of readers. There are many ways a faculty member could create an RSS feeds, and several Sakai tools generate RSS feeds automatically. Students who choose to subscribe to an RSS feed can access it any tool that supports the RSS format.
Note: We do not recommend that the use of Sakai generated RSS be required, since the same information can be accessed within Sakai. RSS is simply a convenience for those students who prefer to access course-related information from outside of Sakai.
