A Model of Student-Faculty Interaction

A podcast is a series of audio or video media which is distributed over the internen by syndicated download, most commonly using the RSS format. Users who subscribe can access this media in a wide variety of ways. Students can potentially listen to course podcasts via cell phone. Although many podcasts are made available through Apple's iPod, this is far from the only avenue available for those who wish to distribute syndicated media.

Although Podcasting is not inherently interactive, it is one of many ways that faculty can communicate with their students outside of the classroom.
