Criteria

  1. Learning Objectives
    1. are clearly presented,
    2. address multiple learning styles, and
    3. are based on sound pedagogical practices.

  2. Activity
    1. The instructions are clear and succinct.
    2. Technical issues are addressed to ensure maximum usability for students.
    3. The expectations for the students’ performance/work are understandable and reasonable.
    4. The instructor's role/responsibilities in the activity is/are clearly indicated.
    5. The activity is engaging and/or stimulating.
    6. The students received feedback on their performance.
    7. The technical level is balanced (hand-holding vs. exploration, conventions vs. concepts).
    8. If the activity required technical expertise on the students’ part, help and resources were provided.
    9. The activity helped students to do one or more of the following:
      1. understand and remember information and ideas
      2. collaborate with others
      3. learn and practice new skills
      4. develop critical, creative or practical thinking
      5. manage projects
      6. connect ideas and people
      7. develop new interests and values
      8. foster self-directing learning

  3. Evaluation
    1. The learning objective(s) were achieved.
