Robert A. Denemark

Robert A. Denemark received his Ph.D. in political science from the University of Minnesota and has been a member of the faculty of the Department of Political Science and International Relations at the University of Delaware since 1988.  His research focuses on long-term analyses of the global political economy, international violence and cooperation.  He teaches courses in international political economy, diplomacy and IR theory.  Denemark has served on the editorial boards of International Studies Quarterly, Review of International Political Economy and Journal of the Third World Spectrum.  He is associate editor of International Studies Perspectives and co-editor of the International Political Economy Yearbook.  In 1998 he organized the annual meetings of the International Studies Association.  Denemark is co-editor, with Jonathan Friedman, Barry K. Gills and George Modelski, of World System History: The Social Science of Long-Term Change (Routledge, 2000).
