| Instant Messenger services have changed our society. No longer does the world need to write letters and spend weeks communicating. We now live in a world of instant access to one another. You can chat online, and keep in contact worldwide! It has completely changed the college student's life. Students no longer run to their phones, desperate to see if their friends have called and left them messages. Instead, everyone heads straight to the computer to check their instant messenger, and most students check them at least once a day. Students use the instant messenger services so much because they do not have to pay excessive phone bills in order to stay in contact with their friends away at colloge in different states. Instant messager keeps many people in contact that would never have stayed in contact otherwise. It enables friends to talk at a local calling price instead of at those pricey long distance rates. The new Instant Messager features allow you to talk through a microphone to your friends, send pictures, and files. This improvement in communication can only get better; I for one can't wait to see what's to come. |
