The Barclay Towers Resort Hotel (809 Atlantic Avenue, Virginia Beach, VA) is a most charming 138 all suite hotel with all suites facing the sparkling Atlantic Ocean, each with a private balcony, king size bed and queen size sleeper sofa, kitchen with microwave oven, stove, oven refrigerator, coffee maker, cookware and place setting for four, in-room safe, iron and ironing board and hair dryer. Also, each room provides two color cable televisions with HBO, plus video and VCP rentals. All overnight guestrooms have private baths, comply with established Federal and industry standards relative to furnishings, environmental comfort and housekeeping, are accessed with a card-key system, accessible only through the main corridor of the hotel and some overnight guestrooms meet the ADA requirements for accessibility. Overnight guests may work out or relax in our private spa, which features an indoor heated pool with sliding sun roof, dry and steam sauna, hot tub, 10 station weight room, exercise bike. These are all available from 7 am to 10 pm. There is also fun-filled video game room.

Rooms are available at a rate of $74.13 per night ( $65 plus 10% tax and $1 city lodging tax). This rate is for single or double occupancy, and children are free. (Maximum of 5 people in a room). Call 757-491-2700 and ask for the AAPT Group Block when making reservations by October 17. Check-in time is at 3 pm, check out at 11 am. The conference rate is available for Saturday night if you wish to extend your stay to Sunday. [Note: It may still be possible to reserve rooms in this block, even though the deadline is passed. However the available rooms are fading fast...]

Related facts: The average high temperature in Virginia Beach on November 7 (averaged over the last six years) is 65 degrees. The boardwalk has recently been refurbished. The hotel is right on the ocean front, and all rooms have balconies that face the ocean.

Free parking is available as well as valet parking and bell services. The Barclay Towers Resort Hotel is very easily accessible from the Norfolk International Airport, taking I-64 to I-264. One would travel eastbound to the end of I-264 which turns into 21st Street, make a right on Atlantic Avenue, continuing to 9th Street, where we are located on the left.
