Nancy Targett is Dean of the College of Marine and Earth Studies at the University of Delaware and Director of Delaware Sea Grant.  She has previously served terms as Program Director and Associate Dean for the College. Dr. Targett is a past officer of the International Society of Chemical Ecology where, in addition, she served as editor of the Society's newsletter, a member of its advisory council, and chair of the student awards committee.  Her area of expertise is marine chemical ecology, and her research focuses on understanding interactions between and among species in the marine environment that are mediated by naturally occurring chemicals. She was elected Secretary of the National Sea Grant Association in 2006 and Trustee of the Consortium of Ocean Leadership in 2007.
