Dear Parents and Family,

 

It is my pleasure to invite you to the University of Delaware for our special Parents and Family Weekend. As a parent of two college-age students, I share your curiosity and excitement about the institution which has become your sons’ and daughters’ second home. This special weekend, from October 9-11, offers various activities that will enable you to spend time with your student and explore the University of Delaware.

 

I encourage you to take advantage of the special programming we have planned for you. Attend class with your student and meet our outstanding educators. Take a tour of our campus, ranked one of the most beautiful college campuses in America. Explore some of the University’s special programs and facilities, take the ice at the Fred Rust Ice Arena, and participate in a special ghost tour of the campus. Spend the evening with comedian and Saturday Night Live alumnus Colin Quinn, as well as comedians Chip Esten and Jeff Davis from Whose Live Anyway. And, of course, come out on Saturday to cheer on our Delaware Blue Hens football team as we take on the University of Massachusetts!

 

From the classroom to the gridiron, this weekend offers a glimpse of the excitement, the passion, and the achievement that your student experiences each day at the University of Delaware. I hope you are able to join us.
