From the moment that your plane lands until classes begin, follow these steps to the University of Delaware. For questions once you arrive in the U.S., please contact the Office for International Students & Scholars at (302) 831-2115 (Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. US EST) or oiss@udel.edu.

International Student Orientation is mandatory for all incoming graduate and undergraduate students (including ELI CAP students). You must complete government check-in in order to be registered in SEVIS. If your I-20 or DS-2019 start date is:

August - Check-in at Fall Orientation on August 22, 2014

February - Check-in at Spring Orientation on February 6, 2015

Any other time - Check-in at OISS at 44 Kent Way immediately upon arrival.

Failure to check-in with all documents will result in automatic termination of your legal status.

Check-in at ISO is available ONLY for students whose I-20 or DS-2019 start date is in August or February. If you arrive at any other time (such as in the summer) or if you have missed the mandatory Fall or Spring check-in at orientation, you must report to OISS immediately upon arrival.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ORIENTATION

International Student Orientation will be held on August 22, 2014 for Fall Semester and February 6, 2015 for the Spring Semester. We recommend that you arrive a couple of days prior to this date, and no later than the day before orientation. You must apply for early check-in by contacting Housing Assignment Services.
