Special Guidelines for Prospective Student Teachers
in the Caesar Rodney School District
All students who are interested in applying to student teach in the Caesar Rodney School District should be aware of the following regulations that have been established by the district:
- Students must work directly with their student teaching coordinator and the Office of Clinical Studies if any changes are required. Under no circumstances are students to contact the school, teacher assigned or the district office regarding placement changes, date changes, etc.
- Students will not be placed in a school where they have a relative working or where they attended school.
- Parents should not be involved in the placement of student teachers. The district states that it will not tolerate parents calling principals to attempt to get special placements and arrangements made for their children because their children attended schools in the district.
- It is imperative that students strictly follow these regulations established by the district. Failure to comply might result in the district denying/canceling the placement request.
