This page is designed help students with the field placement requirement for this course. Students are required to spend 18 hours in a middle school observing and helping as indicated.

The page is divided into three main sections. Make sure to carefully review each to ensure you receive your placement information as quickly as possible.

1. Field Placement Checklist
Before the semester begins you MUST:
   
This is a list of everything you need to do to make sure you are placed as quickly as possible. To ensure that you receive placement information as soon as possible you must provide accurate schedule and transportation information by the first week of classes. If your schedule changes during the semester you must update the online information.
   
NOTE: You will be required to arrange transportation to your placement. More information is listed on the field placement page for your specific semester.
 

Register for your Field Placement

      This provides information needed to complete placements.
NOTE - When registering, follow these steps after logging in:
        - Go to Step #2
        - Select 'Level 1, Early Field Experiences'
   
Show proof of TB clearance
        - You cannot be placed until this is done
 
Review and be familar with the Dispositions Policy
    NOTE - Music Education Majors (Spring Semesters Only) who are also enrolled in MUED 378 or MUED 379 may use the field placements in those courses and do not have to enroll in a separate placement for EDUC419.
  During the semester, remember to:
    Wear a valid ID Badge at all times during a visit
    Print out a logsheet. Make sure to have it signed when you visit.
      Download as a Word, or a pdf file
Before the semester ends:
    Complete the Log Sheet and turn into Class Instructor
    Complete your online Field Placement Record
      - You will need this record when you apply for student teaching.
