Adolescent Development and Educational Psychology

This page is designed help students with the 18-hour High School field placement requirement for this course. The page is divided into three main sections. Make sure to carefully review each to ensure you receive your placement information as quickly as possible.
1. Field Placement Checklist

This is a list of everything you need to do to make sure you are placed quickly. To ensure that you receive placement information as soon as possible you must provide accurate schedule and transportation information by the first week of classes. If your schedule or transportation information changes during the semester you must update the online information.

NOTE: You will be required to arrange transportation to your placement. More information is listed on the field placement page for your specific semester.
Before the semester begins you MUST:

Register for your Field Placement

This provides information needed to complete placements.
NOTE - When registering, follow these steps after logging in:
        - Go to Step #2
        - Select 'Level 1, Early Field Experiences'

Show proof that you are cleared for TB
        - You cannot be placed until this is done

Review and be familiar with the Dispositions Policy
NOTE - Music Education Majors (Fall Semesters Only) - students who are also enrolled in MUED 478 or MUED 479 may use the field placements in those courses and do not have to enroll in a separate placement for EDUC413.
  During the semester, remember to:
Wear a valid ID Badge at all times during a visit
This will be explained further in class.
Print out a log sheet. Make sure to have it signed when you visit.
Print as either a Word, or a pdf file
Before the semester ends:
Complete the Log Sheet and turn into Class Instructor
Complete your online Field Placement Record
This record will be required when you apply for student teaching.
