EDUC230
Introduction to Exceptional Children

This page is designed help students with the field placements for this course. There are two placements. For the first you will take part in two 45-minute to local schools to observe inclusion strategies. For the second you may tutor at the University of Delaware College School.

Make sure to carefully review each of the three sections below to ensure you receive your placement information as quickly as possible.

1. Field Placement Checklist

This is a list of everything you need to do to make sure you are placed as quickly as possible. To ensure that you receive placement information as soon as possible you must provide accurate schedule information by the first week of classes. If your schedule changes during the semester you must update the online information.

Before the semester begins you MUST:

Show proof of TB clearance
You cannot be placed until this is done

Review and be familiar with the Dispositions Policy
  During the semester, remember to:
Wear a valid ID Badge at all times during a visit
This will be explained in class.
  Before the semester ends:
Complete your online Field Placement Record

Required for all students in a teacher education program who intend to student teach.
