In the Fall of 2006 the University of Delaware University Council on Teacher Education (UCTE) instituted a new Professionalism Policy for Professional Education Programs at the University of Delaware. As of Spring 2007 all education candidates who have been accepted into a UD professional education program will be assessed regularly to determine their progress in academic performance, field experiences, and professionalism.
Prior to participating in any field experience all education candidates must review the new policy and complete the Signature of Professional Education Candidate form. NOTE:
Undergraduates may sign this form electronically. Go to Dispositions Acknowledgment Instructions for more information.
Graduate students should print out a Signature of Professional Education Candidate, sign, and return to your Program Coordinator.
From that point onward the student will be evaluated according to the new Dispositions Policy. All candidate data will be stored in the Office of Clinical Studies for undergraduate students and the DCTE Assessment Coordinator for graduate students.
