Erlinda Wheeler, DNS, RN Assistant Professor

Wheeler received her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Rochester and her Doctor of Nursing Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Her research interests include the effect of nursing interventions on patient outcomes and health promotion for cardiopulmonary patients. Her academic focus is adult medical-surgical nursing. She teaches undergraduate junior and senior and graduate nursing students. In addition, she is a nursing consultant at Kendal Retirement community. Dr. Wheeler is a member of the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists and American Association of Critical Care Nurses. She is also Chair of the Research Committee of Sigma Theta Tau International Beta Xi Chapter. Her experiences include teaching at the University of Rochester and the State University of New York at Brockport. Dr. Wheeler was also a clinical nurse specialist at Strong Memorial Hospital and Park Ridge Hospital in Rochester, New York.
