Graduate Nursing Programs
The University of Delaware School of Nursing offers dynamic graduate programs that lead to a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree, Master of Science in Health Services Administration Degree (MS-HSAD), or post master's certificate. Applicants for Advanced Practice Nursing can choose the Family Nurse Practitioner/Adult Nurse Practitioner or one of three specialty areas within the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) concentration.
The Health Services Administration Degree (MSN and MS) is offered fully in a Web-Classroom Format. Other specialties may be either web-based or taken live; most programs require a combination of web-enhanced and classroom based coursework.
The graduate nursing programs require the completion of 34 to 43 units of credit. These units include core courses required of all master's nursing students, the research option (a thesis, a scholarly project, or a course in research utilization),and courses in the specialty. Each specialty requires the student to complete a series of clinical practicums.
