FRANCES M. CAHN MEMORIAL NURSING AWARD Frances M. Cahn was a diploma nurse who demonstrated selflessness, hope, and caring in all her personal and professional interactions throughout her life and professional career. Established in 2006, this award is sponsored by her children Skip Cahn, Betty Paulanka and Christie Bracher. This award is presented to a returning adult non-resident (preferably a Pennsylvania resident), undergraduate or graduate nursing student. Academic excellence (minimum GPA 3.0) and a commitment to the nursing profession and the community it serves. Recipients are given a one time $1,000 award (which may be renewable at the discretion of the Director of Nursing and the Dean of the College if appropriate GPA maintained). Recipients are selected by the Director of the School of Nursing in consultation with the Dean of the College of Health Sciences. Need, grades, and personal circumstances may also be taken into consideration. Interested students should submit application form to: |
