National Cyber Security Awareness Month

During National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM), UD Information Technologies reminds members of the University community that it's critical for all of us to take steps to protect our computers, our personal information, and other confidential information entrusted to us.

The safe computing practices we'll explore this month are important year-round:

  • Protect confidential information;
  • Know who you're dealing with online;
  • Use anti-virus, firewall, and anti-spyware software;
  • Update your computer's operating system, application software, and Web browser regularly;
  • Use strong passwords;
  • Back up your work; and
  • Physically secure your computer.
