Choosing and Working with a ConsultantDesigned for administrators and board members of community-based organizations, community development corporations (CDCs), faith-based community development organizations (CDOs) and other nonprofit organizations, this two day institute focuses on working with a consultant. Identifying, selecting, managing, communicating with, and evaluating the work of a consultant are key aspects discussed. As organizations engage in project planning and are ready to hire a project manager, the need to contract with specialists or technical assistance providers to fill or meet skills gaps is often required for the program to be a success.
