Advanced Nonprofit Management Certificate Courses

Increased competition for philanthropic funds, government cutbacks, innovations in technology, privatization, and increased public scrutiny are just a few of the forces creating challenges in the nonprofit world. Success in this new environment depends upon effective management and innovative leadership.

We are developing a rigorous training program based on the latest thinking and advances in the field of nonprofit management and leadership for professionals who have held senior management and leadership positions in the field for more than five years.

Advanced Certificate courses will be offered in the summer and fall, on a rotating schedule, and will typically require 5 day-long sessions per course. Similar to the Nonprofit Management Certificate Course, classroom instruction will be combined with in-class exercises, out of class reading and problem solving assignments, and an overall assignment tailored to the content of the Advanced Nonprofit Management Certificate course.

Courses will provide advanced training in the following areas:

• human resources management
