The University provides support for accessing MyCourses with the latest version of Mozilla Firefox. The latest version of Micrososft Internet Explorer is also supported on Windows systems.
For all browsers Java, Javascript, cookies and pop-ups must be enabled.
Windows users may need to install the latest Java. Java is available as a free download from http://www.java.com
The latest version of Mozilla Firefox and instructions for installing and customizing it are available from UDeploy. Windows computers will get the latest version of Internet Explorer through their regular Windows updates.
We urge any user who experiences difficulty accessing MyCourses with Internet Explorer to download the latest version of Firefox and use that browser instead.
If you are viewing streaming media such as class lectures you must install the latest UD supported version of RealPlayer.
Plese check the UD Guide to RealPlayer for information on security updates and installation.
In addition, if you are behind a firewall which blocks access to RealPlayer's ports you or your network's administrator must either configure RealPlayer or alter the firewall to allow RealVideo traffic. Instructions for several ways to do this are available on Real's web site.If you are attempting to access and use MyCourses from behind a firewall, you or your IT staff must open several ports in addition to the standard HTTP and HTTPS ports.

Our server is mycourses.udel.edu, IP address: 128.175.13.192
Please note that proper firewall configuration is the responsibility of you or your employer, and that the University of Delaware does not offer technical support for this process. If you or your administrator cannot open these ports, you will be unable to access MyCourses from that site. The best alternative would be to access MyCourses from home or another location that does not have firewall restrictions for the above ports.
Most browsers also have pop-up blockers built in. You must add mycourses.udel.edu to the list of hosts allowed to pop up windows.
Allowing WebCT Popups in Firefox
- Go to "Tools...Options..." in the Firefox menu
- Select Web Features from the left icons
- Next to "Block Popup Windows" click "Allowed Sites"
- Under "Address of web site" type "mycourses.udel.edu"
- Click "Allow"
- Click "OK" to close all dialog boxes
Allowing WebCT Pop-ups in IE 6 and 7 for Windows
- Select "Tools...Internet Options..." in the IE menu
- Select the "Privacy" tab
- In the "Pop-up Blocker" section at the bottom, click "Settings..."
- Under "Address of Web site to allow:" type "mycourses.udel.edu" and click "Add"
- Click "Close" then "OK" to close all dialog boxes
