MSST 601

Students in MSST 601: Curatorship and Collections Management this spring focused on collections management and care for the Old Swedes Historic Site in Wilmington, Delaware. Working with instructor Frank McKelvey, they have inventoried, photographed and rehoused the collections and built new shelving in the Hendrickson House museum.

2012 SWAT

Ten graduate students pursuing the certificate in Museum Studies, and two undergraduate students contributed 570 hours of work over two weeks. They performed basic collection management for Auburn Heights Preserve, Delaware’s newest state park, and the related organization Friends of Auburn Heights Preserve, Inc. in Yorklyn, Delaware. Award Announced

Marina Dobronovskaya, a 2010 graduate of the Museum Studies Program and a doctoral candidate in the Preservation Studies Program, has been awarded a Mellon/ACLS Dissertation Completion Fellowship from the American Council of Learned Societies for the academic year 2012-13. Read More
