JOHN WILSON

JOHN WILSON (b. 1922) studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and taught at Boston University for more than 20 years. He was instrumental in the establishment of the National Center of Afro-American Art, Boston. In 1986 Wilson was commissioned to sculpt a bust of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for the United States Capitol Building, one of his more widely known public works.
