HOWARDENA PINDELL

HOWARDENA PINDELL (b. 1943), born in Philadelphia, received her BFA from Boston University and her MFA from Yale. She has worked as a curator at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, and a professor of art at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She creates in a variety of forms, including performance art, video art, painting, and printmaking, with an emphasis on process.
