EVANGELINE JULIET MONTGOMERY

EVANGELINE JULIET MONTGOMERY (b. 1933) attended City College, Los Angeles, and received a BFA from the California College of Arts and Crafts, Oakland. She worked as an independent curator in California for more than ten years and then for the American Association of State and Local History, Nashville. Beginning in 1980, Montgomery has lived in Washington, DC, where she worked the Arts American Program for the United States Information Agency, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Montgomery received an Outstanding Woman Artist Award from the Women's Caucus for Art in 2003.
