REX GORELEIGH
REX GORELEIGH (1902-1986), known for his depictions of rural Southern African American life, studied in Paris, New York, and Chicago. Goreleigh's work has been shown at the Anderson Galleries, Los Angeles, the Harlem Foundation, the National Center of African American artists, Boston, and at the Studio Museum, Harlem. He taught at several schools in Chicago and North Carolina.
