NANETTE CARTER

NANETTE CARTER (b. 1954) was born in Columbus, graduated from Oberlin College, Ohio, and earned her MFA from Pratt Institute of Art, Brooklyn, where she is currently a professor. She has received numerous grants and awards including a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship and a Pollack Foundation grant. Her works are in the Studio Museum of Harlem, The Newark Museum, the Shomburg Center for Research in Black Culture at the New York Public Library, and the Library of Congress, Washington, DC.
