PHOEBE BEASLEY
PHOEBE BEASLEY (b. 1943), originally from Cleveland, has lived in Los Angeles for over thirty years. She received her BFA at Ohio University and did her graduate work at Kent State University, Ohio. Her art incorporates paint, tissue paper, cloth, and found objects to present the lives of ordinary people whose daily activities often go unnoticed. Beasley has had numerous exhibitions in the United States and abroad and was honored by the State Department for her participation in the Art in Embassies Program.
