EARL J HOOKS
Earl J Hooks (b. 1927) graduated from Howard University in Washington DC, and received his masters degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology in ceramics. He chaired the Department of Art at Fisk University (Nashville) from 1961-1967. An early proponent of the American crafts revival, his major exhibitions include several at the Smithsonian Institution and the Art Institute of Chicago.
