In Tradition: Works by Brandywine Artists

 

This exhibition explores and celebrates the rich artistic tradition of the Brandywine Valley as exemplified in the work of the region’s most prominent 20th Century artists. Comprising forty-five works selected from the collections of the Permanent Collection, University of Delaware,  Brandywine River Museum and private individuals, the exhibition includes illustrations, landscapes, seascapes and portraits by Stanley M. Arthurs, Clifford Warren Ashley, Howard Pyle, Frank E. Schoonover, Newell Convers Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth,  Henriette Wyeth Hurd and George A. Weymouth.
