The University of Delaware Master Players Concert Series (MPCS) is pleased to offer a one-time Special Trip to China with MPCS Artistic Director and UD Trustees Distinguished Professor of Music Xiang Gao. This trip is designed specifically for people who have the desire to see the unique and spectacular natural scenery of China and to experience China’s ethnic minority groups’ culture and history.

UD friends, faculty, staff and alumni are invited to a private trip to China under the direction of experienced bi-lingual and bi-cultural China trip volunteer director Xiang Gao who is originally from China.

A 13-day tour to visit China’s most beautiful and culturally colorful national parks/cities: Chengdu, Jiuzhaigou, Huanglong, Guilin, and a cruise trip* on the Yangtze River to see the Three Gorges of China. While visiting these breathtaking destinations, you will experience the colorful Chinese minority history, culture, cuisine, and music.

Departing on June 1st, 2014 (Tentative), early reservation is highly recommended as space is very limited. A deposit of $400 with each reservation must be received by January 15, 2014.

* May be replaced by a trip to the world famous LiJiang, Yunan Province in case of undesirable weather

- International (NYC-Beijing-NYC) and domestic air travel. First-class, air-conditioned ground transportation.

- 12 nights world-class hotel accommodations. (3-day cruise included)

- Top quality, English-speaking, local tour guides under the daily direction of UD tour director.

- 31 Meals: 12 Western-style breakfast buffets, 9 lunches (1-2 can be in-flight lunches) and 10 dinners. All menus personally selected by Professor Gao.

- Cultural entertainment: Chinese minority vocal and instrumental music performance, boat ride on the Li river of Guilin, minority family visit, and more.
