Task Force Charge

This task force will focus on examining institutional strategies for measuring outcomes and effectiveness to explore ways in which existing institutional research and assessment strategies can be enhanced, and to identify new areas which should be explored. Specific attention will focus on the following issues:

  • What baseline measures exist that cut across disciplines that measure learning and can be used for benchmarking purposes?

  •
  • What strategies are in place or are under consideration for assessing student progress and learning outcomes in technology-based, non-traditional courses, i.e., distance learning and web-based courses?

  •
  • What opportunities exist to build upon existing academic cost and productivity measures, and to extend that research paradigm into administrative operations?
