The Task Force on Students will be asked to examine the full range of student services, from the time that an individual first approaches the University with an interest in admission, through his/her alumni years. The services to be examined will include, but are not limited to admissions, financial aid, registration, orientation, advising, counseling, tutoring, student discipline, student health, residence life, career planning and placement, student organizations and activities, and cultural programming. The task force will be asked to do an exhaustive review of student life and affairs, with particular attention to the following issues:

  • In what ways has technology been introduced into the delivery of student services at the University of Delaware, and in what ways has it impacted the quality of student life?
  • What evidence exists to support the notion that students are satisfied with programs and services at the University of Delaware?

  •
  • To what extent are curricular and co-curricular activities linked at the University, and what have been the measurable results of these linkages?

  •
  • What is the nature and adequacy of services being provided to students utilizing non-traditional forms of course delivery, as well as students enrolled in the University's Division of Continuing Education?
  • What are the long-term (i.e., post-graduation) attitudes and opinions of students regarding their college careers and experiences at the University of Delaware?
