The University of Delaware is engaging in an institutional self-study in preparation for its ten-year reaccreditation review by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.  The self-study process is being led by a Steering Commitee co-chaired by Dr. Bobby Gempesaw, Vice Provost for Academic Programs and Planning, and Dr. Michael Middaugh, Assistant Vice President for Institutional Research and Planning.  The Steering Committee directs the work of eight task forces who studied various aspects of the University's educational programs.  The task forces produced written reports that formed the basis for the draft self-study document, which was made available for campus examination and open hearings in the fall of 2000.  Following revision, the self-study document was sent to the Middle States Evaluation Team, who will visit the campus in spring of 2001.
