National Competitive Scholarships and awards

The following scholarships and awards are available to junior and senior medical technology majors. Competition is at a national level. The American Society for Clinical Pathology administers the scholarships and awards that it presents, as well, as the scholarships sponsored by Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics.

American Society for Clinical Pathology

ASCP Scholarships ($1,000 each)

    Eligibility

  • Must be enrolled in a National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) or the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited laboratory science program
  • Students in their final clinical year of study in a medical technology program
  • A United States citizen or a permanent resident

  • Minimum 2.8 GPA
  • Submit a complete application packet

ASCP National Student Honor Award (Honor Certificate)

    Eligibility

  • Student member of the American Society for Clinical Pathology
  • Full-time junior and senior medical technology students

    Requirements

  • Academic achievement
  • Leadership and/or community service activities
  • Minimum 3.3 GPA

Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics

Emil Von Behring Scholarships ($2,500 each)

    Eligibility

  • 34 students in their third or fourth year of a National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) accredited laboratory science program
  • A United States citizen or a permanent resident

    Requirements

  • Academic achievement
  • Professional goals
  • Leadership abilities
  • Community activities
  • Minimum 2.8 GPA
  • Submit a complete application packet

Legacy Student Scholarships ($5,000 each)

    Eligibility

  • 5 students in their third or fourth year of a National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) accredited laboratory science program
  • Be the child, grandchild, or sibling of a certified medical technologist
  • A United States citizen or a permanent resident

  • Minimum 2.8 GPA
