Glomerulonephritis is a condition caused by diseases that affect the glomeruli and bring about progressive kidney dysfunction. The moderate amount of blood detected by the Multistix and the presence of 20-50 red blood cells per high powered field correlates with glomerular damage, often seen in chronic renal failure.
