Award Winner

The Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students took place on November 5-8 2008 in Orlando, FL. This national conference, the largest student research gathering in the country, hosted 2600 undergraduates, graduates, and postdoctoral researchers combined. Sohil Golwala, a junior Medical Technology student working in the laboratory of Dr. Michelle A. Parent, attended this conference and presented a poster entitled “Characterization of protective convalescent serum generated from Yersinia infected mice”. Sohil received 1 of 19 awards in the category of microbiology for his poster presentation, there were over 200 poster entries in this category.
