Panel oral sessions

Modeled on the professional academic meeting style, all oral presenters will have an opportunity to discuss their research as a member of a panel—a small, selected group of students who serve as experts on their area of research.

Scholar poster session

Designed to foster one-on-one interaction, the poster session provides an opportunity for scholars to share the results of their research.

Graduate school fair and visitation

The conference location opens an opportunity for participants not only to meet with graduate school representatives during the conference Graduate School Fair, but also to visit premier East Coast institutions in New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C., as well as the University of Delaware itself.

Interactive workshop sessions

Hands-on sessions will prepare students for the graduate school transition.

Exciting and unique cultural experiences

  • Guided tour of Sound Print Record: African American Legacies a UD museum exhibition that juxtaposes historical, documentary photographs of musical performers with modern and contemporary artworks that engage the legacy of black American music

  • Exclusive performance of I Am My Own Wife, a Pulitzer Prize and Tony-award winning production based on the life of Charlotte von Mahlsdorf, a WWII concentration camp survivor who developed extraordinary survival skills. The performance will be followed by actor/audience discussion on the role of arts and culture in post-baccalaureate study
