DIRECTIONS TO CONFERENCE LOCATIONS

National McNair Scholars Research Conference and Graduate School Fair

New London Rd./Rte. 896 N, Newark

From either north or south, take I-95 to Exit 1 (Newark/Rte. 896) in Delaware. Turn onto 896 N.; this road becomes S. College Ave. and proceeds through campus. (Do not follow signs directing 896 N. traffic to detour left.) Follow S. College to Main St., which is a "T" intersection where all traffic must turn left. Turn left onto W. Main St., staying in the right lane. Proceed 2 short blocks and bear right onto New London Rd./896 N. The main entrance to Laird Campus is about 1/2 mile ahead, on the right and well marked.

From Sleep Inn, Newark, DE—Proceed out of parking lot and make a right onto Route 896 South. Get into far left lane and make a U-turn at traffic light to get onto Route 896 North. Follow Route 896 North into Newark. Route 896 North becomes South College Avenue. Follow South College Avenue to the “T” (end of S. College). Turn left onto Main Street and stay in right lane. Go about one block and at the fork in the road, bear right over the railroad tracks following signs for Route 896 North. Proceed straight through the traffic light at Cleveland Avenue and go down the hill. As you begin up the next hill, you will see an electronic sign and a sign for the University of Delaware, Laird Campus. Turn right after the sign. Clayton Hall is on the right. The parking lot is on the left.

Take I-95 to Exit 1B (Newark-University of Delaware), which is Route 896 North. Follow Route 896 North into Newark. Route 896 North becomes South College Avenue. Follow South College Avenue to the “T” (end of S. College). Turn left onto Main Street and stay in left lane. Go about 1/2 block and turn left after the Trabant Center. Turn into the parking garage on the right. The Graduate School Fair will be held in the Trabant Center Multipurpose Room.
