  1. 4/12 prod: Enable administering of "group" questions and the viewing of those student responses by that admin group. "Group" admins may see university, college, department, group or instructor level student responses for courses within their group. Faculty and dept/college course owners may see group questions and student responses.
    Registrar: Honors is flagged using Sect Type (RC104) on screen 129. Use "H" - Honors Program and "J" - Honors Travel Course (2/9/04 - Katharine Kerrane says to use both types of course sections)

    Jann Lightcap, PCS: "distance learning sections numbers are 190, 194, 195, 295. In addition, there are certain courses that have other section numbers, like HRIM488 section numbers 191, 192, 193, 196, 197. And NURS411 with 150, 151, 152, 153, 156, 157." (2/8/04 - msg to PCS to confirm using this list)
    GOAL: enable Honors and Distance Learning for 04S
    STATUS:

    • 4/7 Vincent to put on mis183 for testing. Joy to test.

    • 3/12 Registrar says to use section types instead of section numbers. Use section types A, V, Z on screen 129 Sect Type. Don't use section types I, C on screen 129 Sect Type (RC104)
    • 2/9 Gempesaw confirms that groups may view all results
    • Fall - Honors value exists in extract file
  2. 3/23 prod: On instr.jsp, for "View Evaluations for Courses I Teach", if no eval defined then give message.
  3. 3/23 prod: admin.jsp - Search Section Evaluation Results Term = sort by most recent first and then in this order (04S 03F 03S 03W 02F 02S 02W 01F)
  4. 3/23 prod: Fix navigation between QB and assigning questions. When assigning a question you are left on Assigned Ques page and you need 3-4 back buttons to get back to QB page to assign others.
  5. 3/23 prod: On evaluation-add.jsp, remove "Reset form" button and replace "Add to evaluation" with "Next step".
    On evaluation-add2.jsp, remove "Reset form" button and replace "Submit form" button with "Finish and submit" button. Add "Prev step button".
  6. 03/23/04 prod: Rule: for cross-listed courses, the primary course owner may add questions and see all results. The second department may not add questions but that faculty member and his/her Chair and Dean may see results. For example, if FREC827 (col=Ag) was cross-listed with ECON827 (col=B&E) and ECON was the primary owner of this cross-list, then ECON could add questions and see results and FREC could not add questions but could see results. The faculty/chair/dean of the affected colleges and departments may see all faculty members who are defined for the cross-list.

    Registrar: on screen 130 in SIS are two fields following the label "cross listing". The first field, DEN RC029, indicates the primary or secondary department. The second field, DEN RC03A, is used to designate how the enrollments should be tallied (either independently or primary only).

    These are the rules for constructing an evaluation:

    • only the primary course owner may add college/dept course/instructor questions to both cross-listed course sections
    • the secondary college/department may not add any COURSE questions at any level
    • any instructor(s) may add instructor-level INSTRUCTOR questions to their eval for that course section (not to the other instructor's evaluation)
    These are the rules for viewing results:
    • the affected college/dept admins may see all results for both cross-listed sections for all instructors including instructor added questions
    • faculty may see their own instructor results and compiled course results
    In the data extract and consolidated report, cross-listed courses a college/dept is able to view will be included.

    Mary Jo: EGTE/CIEG223. EGTE is primary. An example of one cross-listed across depts (but same college) is BAMS/PHIL307. BAMS is primary.

    • 9/5 need pri/sec dept value added to extract. VJ talked to Raja.
  7. 3/23/04 prod: When viewing assigned questions, we need a concise way to report how it was assigned with edit and remove capability for each one:
    Univ for subj MATH
    Col for all
    Dept for crs 101
    Group for section 110
    Instructor
    Under "View Assigned Questions" we need to be able to select the special items we set up so we can manage those. For example, I assigned 8 Distance Learning questions to:

    sections ending in 190, 194 and 195
    There is no way to remove question assignments. If questions are added, we can't manage the order.
