From lynam@copland.udel.edu Wed Aug 1 16:33:01 2001 Date: Wed, 1 Aug 2001 16:32:47 -0400 (EDT) From: Joy S Lynam To: course-evals@copland.udel.edu Subject: notes from 07-26-01 course eval meeting To course evaluation team members, Below is a summary of last Thursday's 7/26 meeting. Please let me know if you have additions or changes to this. We decided that we would enable a 1 or 2-step evaluation process from the student view. Step 1 will be the instructor assessment and step 2 will be the course assessment. Course assessment questions will probably be populated within the college by the college or department admins (not instructors). For the instructor assessment, college admins, department admins, or the instructor may add questions. Questions will be presented to students in this order: common --> college --> dept -->instructor Admins may order questions within each of these units. In August when we get to the faculty view, we will consider data issues like TA and cross-listed courses and how they impact this application. We can generate response formats based on the type of question format. Garbiele will have samples of this for 8/1. Judy was going to contact UC San Diego regarding permission to use their questions. Does anyone have this URL? Their site has changed. We talked about the report by student major and will have this sample report for 8/1. In the question bank, questions and their reporting format are pre-set.
