Pre-conference session, April 15, 2009 |
Join faculty
colleagues at the Lilly-East Conference on College and University
Teaching on April 16-17, 2009. Lilly Conferences bring together
faculty across disciplines and types of academic institutions. Participants
learn from research on teaching, best practice, engage in dialogue,
and return to their campuses to share what they have learned.
The Lilly Conferences
serve as premier forums in the country for demonstrating, modeling,
and discussing innovative teaching practice at the university level.
Lilly Conferences are retreats that combine interactive workshop
sessions, discussions, and feature presentations, with opportunities
for informal discussion about excellence in college and university
teaching and learning. Internationally-known scholars join junior
and senior faculty colleagues to discuss pertinent topics such as
incorporating technology into teaching, encouraging critical thinking,
implementing collaborative learning, service learning, documenting
teaching effectiveness, and the scholarship of teaching.
