Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry

American Chemical Society Student Affiliate - student-run. Provides external
speaker series and social events for UG majors.

Freshman Mentor Program - uses upperclassmen as peer mentors for freshman
majors.

Teacher Assistant Program - for seniors and juniors to assist in various
ways with select chemistry classes.

Undergraduate Curriculum Committee - sophomore, junior, and senior voting
representatives; elected by their peers.

Undergraduate Research Presentations - annual Intercollegiate Student Chemists
Convention, annual Middle Atlantic Regional American Chemical Society Meeting,
and semi-annual National American Chemical Society Meetings.

Club sports - provides
students the opportunity to engage in high level competition against other
college and community sport clubs, while gaining valuable experience in
leadership and organization.

Dean's Roundtable - a group of students who meet monthly to share
with the dean their comments and concerns about the Parallel Program. They
have the ability to affect policy decisions and are the student voice of
Wilmington Parallel.

Residence Life Programs:

"What in the Hall?!" (WiTH)
- a weekly TV show produced by Residence Life. This original program features
UD personalities and issues that are important to residence hall students.
Student writers, directors, and actors keep the shows lively and entertaining.

Resident Assistant Positions
- provide assistance to resident students and create residence hall communities
that recognize and value each individual. They also serve as a referral
source for many university services and as student advocates.

Not Quite Ready for Bed
Players - student theatre group that performs skits regarding sexuality
and sexually transmitted infections/diseases.

Hall Government/Volunteerism
& Service - Each Hall Government completes two community service
initiatives per year. You will be able to participate in service activities
with members of your hall.

R.O.P.E. Club (Respecting Other People's Ethnicity) - focuses on
exploring a variety of cultures. This group has an activity each semester,
which may be to sponsor guest lecturers, or provide a community service.

problem-based learning groups. Two websites are available for fall

UD Leadership Recognition

MBA Leadership Award - one MBA student per year is selected based
on several criteria. The student receives the award on Honors Day.
